What this quote means to me is that when your "friends" take you down the wrong path always choose the right path even if you are alone after making the choice of choosing the right. Friends come and go. Always choose to go down the right path no matter what. Don't be a follower and follow bad influences because everyone else is doing it. Stand out and choose your own path. For example, a kid gets offered to ditch school with his friends and hang out, a person who chooses the wrong would follow and go with them and get in trouble. However, a person who chooses the right says no and goes to school, whether he is alone or not.
