What this quote means to me is that having a good character is better than being smart in life. If you are smart but have a bad character than you can get in trouble and go to jail. If you have great character than you will never have to worry about doing the wrong thing in life.

What this quote means to me is that people should have enough courage and character to do the right thing when the moment becomes opportune. It is a great thing when people do the right thing without having to ask someone to do it. You should have enough good will to be able to do the right thing at the right time. Do not follow others. If you know something is right then do it immediately. If you know something is wrong quickly avoid it and don't be apart of any of it. You have to be able to do the right thing at the right time whenever an opportunity comes. You shouldn't stop doing the right thing just because others don't do it or it isn't “cool”. You do the right thing simply because it is the right thing to do.
