What this quote is trying to say is that you have to be obedient to have more freedom in life. If you are not obedient then you will be deprived of your freedom and put in jail. The key to freedom is to be very obedient to your elders and superiors. If you are obedient then you will be successful in life. If not then you will be put in jail or worse.
